Once again, Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledged the role that Sir Alex Ferguson, a previous manager of Manchester United, played in his progression:
The boss was the commander of the players, and each individual obeyed his orders. I’m sure you’ve heard me say it before, but he reminds me of a football player.
When I joined Manchester United at the age of 18, he helped me become settled in. I learned a lot from him. The credit for what I’ve become is entirely his. I want to express my appreciation to him for everything he has done for me.
Ronaldo referred to that prize as the most important one he had won in his career.
