The origins of ‘Awa Awa no Mi’

Upon his return to the Enies Lobby, Spandam informs Kalifa that he has a devil fruit for her. After releasing the remaining CP9 members from the room, he presents her with the Awa Awa no Mi. Rob Lucci pushes her to consume the item despite Jabra’s warning that she shouldn’t. Thus, Khalifa acquired the Awa Awa no Mi.

Manifestation of ‘Awa Awa no Mi’

The Awa Awa no Mi is violet in hue and shaped like a melon with a spiralling stalk. Its interior is brilliant green, similar to that of honeydew melon.

Superiorities and deficiencies

The fruit’s primary benefit is that it enables the user to emit and regulate soap and bubbles from their body. The user’s body generates these bubbles. They may manifest even when the user is wearing gloves. These bubbles are able to remove not only dirt, but also the powers of individuals. The user can also drain their opponent’s energy with these bubbles, leaving them in a state that is clean, shining, and extremely smooth. Additionally, the user can shelter himself from attacks by condensing the bubbles surrounding them.

This fruit’s vulnerability is that its bubbles are easily removed by water. The defeated foes can be restored to their original state by being washed away with water. Even a strong breeze is able to disperse the bubbles. Aside from that, they have the typical devil fruit weakness of inability to swim.

Usage

Kalifa employs her devil fruit powers in combat. She is a highly competent assassin who can drain and weaken her opponents with the power of her fruit. Additionally, she uses her control over soap particles to avoid electrocution. She also employs her abilities to eliminate any filth and grime.

Techniques

The methods employed by Kalifa are:

Golden Hour

In this technique, Kalifa personally applies bubbles to her victim’s body, which saps their vigour and leaving their skin thin, smooth, and glossy.

Awatsukai: Sekkenyo

In this method, Kalifa concentrates all neighbouring foam and bubbles around her body, giving her the appearance of a sheep because her arm around her head mimics sheep ears.

Hitsuji Gumo Relax Hour

In this technique, Kalifa focuses the foam from Awatsukai: Sekkenno and fires it at her foes to ‘cleanse’ their strength. This renders her opponent immobile and docile.
