According to Estadio Deportivo, Sevilla and Valencia plan to resume talks over the transfer of Adnan Januzaj.
The Belgian winger signed a four-year contract with Los Nervionenses during the summer transfer window.
He hasn’t played a single minute since the club season resumed following the World Cup since he hasn’t been able to establish himself as a starter at Sevilla.
Jorge Sampaoli appears to have little faith in Januzaj’s ability to succeed in the Andalusian capital and is eager to cut ties with the 27-year-old in January.
The Belgian international is reportedly close to signing with Valencia and even travelled there to have his medical, according to Estadio Deportivo. But because they haven’t reached a deal, Los Che have sent Januzaj back to Sevilla.
Valencia wants to permanently sign Januzaj, while Sevilla wants to loan him out. The clubs plan to resume their discussions this week.
