For the first time in his life, Hakari tells Kashimo that he has never encountered death so frequently. After Hakari switches the coordinates of the barrier, Kashimo finds himself suddenly above the water.
As the two make their way to the bottom of Tokyo No. 2 Colony’s ocean, they discover a swarm of cursed spirits. Kashimo decides to stand on some of them, and Hakari assaults the cursed spirits..
Eventually, Hakari reaches Kashimo and throws him into the sea. Hakari is clinging to a flying cursed spirit as Kashimo falls into the water. In the water, Kashimo’s cursed energy begins to flow.
Kashimo’s chlorine gas, however, causes Hakari to tumble into the water when he loses consciousness. Kashimo is aware that toxins can also be used to kill a reverse cursed technique user.
Kashimo is surprised when Hakari opens his eyes and punches him. Hakari’s reverse curse appears to be totally automatic.
A tremendous explosion is heard as the two begin to combat underwater.

The explosion was caused by Kashimo’s outpouring of cursed energy. In an attempt to hit Hakari’s left arm, the attacker missed. Hakari swears an oath to exchange his left arm for the transfer of his cursed energy.
With a single blow, Hakari dispatches Kashimo. The cursed technique Kashimo was planning on using against Sukuna was apparently not used.
By joining them, Hakari gives Kashimo the chance to face Sukuna. Charles and Nishimiya catch up with Hakari. Nishimiya informs him of the four new regulations they intend to implement.
Maki and Kamo, meanwhile, are busy seeing to business at the Sakurajima Colony. The barrier is suddenly breached by a massive curse.
