Code is up to something exciting in the exciting climax of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Manga. The entire trajectory of this manga has been altered by Code’s introduction. We’ve seen Code admit his feelings for Eida in earlier chapters, but that didn’t go so well because of his fight with Daemon. An tremendous fight, with Daemon eventually triumphing against Code. He was injured in combat, but managed to get away utilising his signature Claw Marks manoeuvre. Code blames Kawaki for everything, so he plans to eliminate everybody who is in his way.
For the first time, we witnessed truly unrestricted Code combat. Code gets what he wants by cutting ties with Eida and then teleporting away by himself. He has made it clear that his desire for the deaths of Eida and Daemon is well founded. Code’s animosity toward the Leaf Village is further evidenced by his expectation that Eida will soon arrive there. He comes to terms with the fact that he, along with Kawaki, Naruto, and Shikamaru, intends to wipe out the village. He had never cared much for Daemon, but after that, he determined to end it all with a single strike.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 72 Highlights
The chapter starts with Shikamaru and Naruto talking with Kawaki about Karma. This became a massive fight since the trio has various points of view. During that meeting, Shikamaru was briefed about the call from Amado. He picks up and talks with Amado about the previous happenings. Eida and Daemon, on the other hand, are in a frigid region close to Amado. When the call finally comes to an end, Shikamaru tells Amado to hurry back to Leaf Village so they can get some answers to their problems.
He hangs up, and Eida and Daemon, who were listening in, are not happy about it. Eida and Amado talk about returning to the Leaf Village. Since getting closer to Kawaki will be difficult, Eida becomes frustrated. Daemon tries to frighten Amado into not keeping his word. After Boruto leaves for the workplace, Shikamaru calls an emergency meeting and Hinata walks in. While Boruto is concerned about her, Hinata vents her frustration. Boruto knows that he will come back from wherever he goes.
Boruto was astonished when Momoshiki suddenly materialised in front of him as he was leaving the house. Momoshiki tells Boruto that his fate is fraught with misery and that he has no power to change it. Boruto becomes infuriated and dismisses Momoshiki’s advice, reasoning that he has complete control over his own destiny.
The moment Boruto made his fateful vow, Momoshiki vanished. Mitsiku and Sarada, back at Hokage’s office, are curious as to why Boruto is dragging his feet and so they decide to go along. Code, meanwhile, travelled with Bud into the Ten-Tails universe. He explains the nature of the dimension they stepped into and the motivations behind space-time ninjas’ forays into it. Bug and Code discuss Eida debating what to do and how to proceed. He stresses to Code that they need to take action because Amado, Eida, and Daemon have all deserted him.
The source code shows that they plan to make Ten-Tails more manageable. After arriving to Ten-Tails’ location, the two use Claw Marks to conceal themselves. Since what he accomplishes now would have been impossible in the past, Code gets excited knowing his plans are functioning and recognises he has progressed. He makes the executive decision to unleash an even greater quantity of Claw Marks in an attempt to ensnare Ten-Tails all at once. Ten-Tails are pinched by the Claw Marks in the Code, and the process is described. He said it was a secret weapon and admitted that he once had a cap on how much he spent on it.
When Code transforms Ten-Tail into a humanoid form, Bug is taken aback to see that he blocks the creature’s passage with his Claw Marks. Bug is worried about what’s going to happen to Ten-Tails as he listens to Code describe what he’s done. Now in its modified form, the Ten-Tails can use Claw Marks to move around. At the end of the chapter, Code and Bug are confronted by a pair of brand-new Ten-tails that are the size of humans.
