The Straw Hat Pirates’ swordsman is Roronoa Zoro. He was a bounty hunter known as Pirate Hunter Zoro before he turned to piracy. He went from hunting pirates for a prize to being a pirate himself. His convictions are strong and intense, and he always strives for training, likes adversity, and when it comes to fighting, he seeks a stronger opponent and risks his life.

Before meeting Luffy, Zoro was feared by those around him as a bounty hunter specializing in pirates, “Pirate Hunting Zoro”. In order to save a child, he was apprehended by the navy and was about to be executed for killing the wolf that was Colonel Morgan’s son Helmeppo’s pet. Luffy appears there, taking an interest in him. Luffy liked Zoro’s spirit and decided to draw him into his company. Zoro is touched by Luffy’s masculinity when he saves him, and becomes the first member of the Straw Hat Pirates!
